Five robbers attack shop owner in Tharad

PALANPUR: Five unidentified persons barged into a jewellery showroom in Tharad town and fire three rounds at the owner at around 8:30pm on Monday.

The jeweller Chandrakant Soani suffered a bullet injury in the leg. The even assaulted him and one of them even hurled a stool at him. However, the robbers failed to find any valuables and escaped from the shop.

The entire attempted robbery was captured in the CCTV installed in the showroom.

Assistant superintendent of police, Tharad, Ajit Rajiana, said that the robbers had come to the showroom on foot and were speaking in Hindi.

Police inspector, Tharad, J B Acharya said no cash or valuable was missing from the showroom.
