Assistant manager of pvt bank ran over by govt bus

Coimbatore: A TNSTC bus ran over a 30-year-old assistant manager of a private bank on 100 Feet Road in the city on Monday.
The traffic investigation wing (TIW-east) of the city police identified the deceased as N Sanjay of Maniyakarampalayam near Ganapathy. He was preparing for the civil service examinations too.

On Monday morning, Sanjay was on his way to the bank at Peelamedu on a motorcycle. “When he reached 100 Feet Road, a TNSTC bus hit behind the motorcycle and he fell off from it. The helmet skidded from his head as it was not locked properly. He came under the wheels of the bus and died on the spot,” a police officer.

A TIW team sent the body to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem. After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the family members. Sanjay is survived by his wife Revathi, 29, and a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. Police have registered a case against the bus driver.
