Woman found in Noida park, says she fled home

NOIDA: A in her forties was found lying in a park in semi-conscious condition and partially clothed in Sector 63 late Sunday night. A passer-by spotted her in the park of block H around 11.30pm and informed the police.
On the basis of the information received by the rescuer, a team from Phase 3 police station reached the park within 15 minutes along with women police personnel. The woman was found lying with a blanket on top. Police officials rushed her to the district hospital in Sector 30 for medical attention.

Police are investigating if the woman was sexually assaulted and drugged. The woman has been sent for medical examination and the reports are awaited.

“When cops asked the identification of the woman several times, she told them her name and she is a resident of Janakpuri in Delhi. She also said she has two daughters and she left her house after having a dispute with her husband. However, considering her condition, we cannot trust her words at the moment,” said Akhilesh Tripathi, station house officer (SHO) of Phase 3 police station.

Meanwhile, one person has been detained for questioning in the case. He was found roaming near the park when police arrived at the spot.

Police are still trying to find out about her relatives and complete address.
